Making mothers day gifts at work

The first thing today was that it was payday. Everyone got their checks. As you can see everyone is very happy.
For the past three day we have been working on Mother's Day gifts. You can see the foot pedal of the sewing machine on Jim's tray. Jim would push down on the pedal with his hand when I said push then lift up when I would say stop.
Anne was watching us and telling us which one to sew next.
Dalall got to put the fabric in the sewing machine, but wasn't aloud to sew cause the needle.
Dalall also got to cut the thread when we was done sewing a seam.
Dalall, Annie, and Jim holding up what they made. They were proud of what they made.

This is our finished goods. They are change purses for the Mom's. We will be having a luncheon on Wednesday for their Mothers or caregivers to come and eat lunch with them. The material came from swatches that a furniture store was throwing out by us at work. Like the say one man's trash another man's treasures. Their is a lot more clients in my classroom then just the three you saw in the pictures. They are just the ones I worked with today. I love my job, and putting smiles on the clients I work with. Making them feel so important is the reason I enjoy going to work everyday.
